Cloud Forest and Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

So, as you already know, we went to Gardens by the Bay last December (if you haven't read our post about it, click here). The place is actually much bigger than what we showed on that post, and it has a lot of attractions too! Like Children's Garden, Lakes, Skyway, etc. But, today's post is not about ALL of the them, because we didn't have enough time to explore the whole place. We only visited their two conservatories, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome!

CLOUD FOREST

Once you enter Cloud Forest, you will see this breath-taking waterfall right in front of you. It's the world's largest indoor waterfall! Spend some time here to enjoy the refreshing mist.
Of course we had to take pictures next to it. Don't do this, unless you're okay getting slightly wet.
Cloud Forest is actually a 35-metre tall mountain surrounded by diverse vegetation from tropical highlands up to 2,000 metres above sea level.

There was a quite long queue pole before the lift, but luckily it was empty when we reached there!

And next to the queue pole, we saw this cool plants and spider made out of LEGO!

There are 9 parts inside the Cloud Forest that you can explore, and one of them is the Lost World. It's the highest point of the mountain (you need to take the lift to get here)
↑ Beautiful reflection.
↑ You can also find Carnivorous Plants at the Lost World, such as pitcher plants and the Venus Fly-catcher.
↑ View from the top.
↑ The Lost World showcases vegetation typically found at around 2,000 above sea level. Such as these pretty flowers.
↑ If we are not mistaken, this one is Primrose. Yes, as in Primrose Everdeen. :D

Making our way down through the Cloud Walk.
Stopped for a wefie, lol.

During your way down, you can see a close-up view of various epiphytes plant species (a plant that grows on another plant) on the side of the mountain.
↑ Love the misty effect! xD
↑ Every time we want to capture our brother, we will distract him by telling him to look at this side, or that side, or just tell him to laugh. We think his candid pose is way better than his planned pose hahahah
↑ One of the unique plants here.
↑ More about Elle's outfit on the previous post: bit.ly/latutto

↑ The last part of Cloud Forest: Secret Garden. Jess was wearing GOWIGASA Feline Bow Midi Skirt in cream and ZARA Top.

We ended up spending 1-2 hours here, loved it!! This place reminded us so much of the movie 'Avatar'!

FLOWER DOME

Unlike the cool-moist Cloud Forest, Flower Dome is more of a cool-dry conservatory. Here you can find interesting plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid (dry) subtropical regions. But, the best part of our visit was, it was surrounded by Christmas decorations because it was near the Christmas!! :D

If you turn to the right after you step in Flower Dome, you will find Succulent Garden which displays desert plants (one of the 8 parts inside the Dome).
↑ Elle's outfit: Forever21 Denim Shirt | H&M Denim Shorts | 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel | ASOS Hat | Peter Keiza Slip-Ons | Topshop Necklace
↑ Cute miniature!!
↑ The lilac colour tho.
↑ Found a not-so-hiding lion! :D
↑ So many beautiful flowers here.
↑ View from the top.
↑ Mediterranean Garden
↑ Met these cute girls wearing bean sprouts hair clips! Thanks for posing for us :D
↑ Hey, there's a wooden dragon!
 Daisy
↑ No idea what this is, but it's pretty cool.

Probably the coolest among all, Helichrysum splendidum! Look at that silver foliage!

↑ So tiny, so pretty.
✿ A wallflower.
Remember to touch the plants to know their textures! It's interesting! Like this one above, it felt like gummy bear :3
↑ And this has got to be our favourite! Sooo soft and pillowy! Don't worry, no harm done to the plants ^^
↑ We wish we could shrink ourselves and lay down on it. Or find a big garden fully covered by it. ∩(︶▽︶)∩

↓ Anyway, it was pretty crowded at the Flower Dome, maybe people wanted to see the Christmas decorations or the fact that it was Sunday. Either way, if you want to avoid that, we suggest you to come earlier! ^^
↑ Don't forget to stop by Conservatory Cafe (located between Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) to buy some ice cream! Jess tried the Durian flavour, and the taste was very rich and not too sweet. It felt like eating a durian in a form of ice cream!! Besides ice cream, they also offer light snacks and hot/cold drinks. :D

Hello from La Tutto!

Today I want to introduce you to this new fashion brand that I find lovely, La Tutto!
They have a pretty wide variety of clothes that will support any occasion, but all of them stay true to La Tutto's signature style: Classic design, distinctive style, and clean-cut look.

LOOK #1

I picked this dress simply because a girl can never have enough of a Little White Dress! It is so versatile and timeless, perfect to wear from brunch with your friends to evening cocktails with your special someone. Extra points for its flattering length and contrast color trimming at the armhole, hemline, and neckline.
I styled it with white heels to elongate my legs, and a white clutch to give it a clean, elegant look.
The floral-shaped appliqué at the left shoulder adds a statement and feminine aspect to the outfit.
If it's a formal event where you want to look more professional, you can pair it with a blazereither neutral or pastel colour, both go well with the dress! :)

You can also add some sparkle to your ears for a more luxurious finish.

LOOK #2

What I love the most about this Asymmetrical Top is none other than how it makes me feel like a Supergirl when I walk hahaha! It's definitely a head-turner.
The length of the shorts is just perfect (at least for me), not too short, but you can still show off your legs. Great for everyday wear!
*brb, Supergirl to the rescue*
I also adore the A-line cut of the top; I think it brings a modern, laid-back touch to the look. And its flowy structure is just great for hot weather. *come on in, breeze!*
Finished off with a structured bag and strap heels to make my look a little more polished.

LOOK #3

The third look is more fun and playful with a sheer cropped top, cut-out pencil skirt, and a pair of loafers. I took the photos at a swimming pool to fit with the theme :D
How unique and adorable this skirt design is? Hats off to La Tutto for making a plain white pencil skirt much more interesting with the hem shape that resembles water droplets! The concealed zipper is also a plus point. And don't worry, just like Althea dress, the fabric is thick enough that your underwear won't show through it. ;)
I paired the form-fitting pencil skirt with this loose-fitting top to balance the look. Its sheer material attracted me the most, because I can match it with many different outfitsa great addition to my wardrobe! For this look I just wore a white tube top inside for a sporty vibe.
Completed the look with white loafers to get that chic all-white look :)
All the clothes that I wore here were very comfortable, the fabric felt nice against my skin and the cut was flattering for my body shape (and, I think, for most figures).

Outfit and Photography Tips for Trick Eye Museum + Singapore Trip GIVEAWAY!

Hello, everyone!
Our latest trip to Singapore was "trickier" than usual; it involved this unique museum where we got to take a lot of photos while having fun at the same time, Trick Eye Museum! :D

Originates in Korea, Trick Eye Museum is an art gallery with paintings that give each 2D art piece the illusion of being in 3D, which is really cool!

If you're getting bored of typical tourist photos, we really recommend this place where you can take pictures that have some tricks to the eyes.

Aight, enjoy the pics and tips, and don't forget to join the giveaway at the end of this post! :)

There is a sample photo next to each artwork (far right on the wall ↑) to give you an idea on how the artwork works. #phototips1

↑ Pay attention to details! For example, from the above picture, the hair must fall on the table to make it more realistic. #phototips2

↑ Your pose and expression can help the artworks look more 'alive' too! #phototips3
Joe: "Help me, I'm slipping!" | Elle: "Ugh, so annoying! *kick*"
Don't be afraid to create interactive poses that have stories! #phototips4

In Trick Eye Museum, you won't find signs such as 'Don't Touch' or 'No Flash' or 'No Taking Off Clothes'! You can go wild creating your pictures! :D #phototips5

↑ Girls, please wear shorts or skorts or pants, so you can move around and pose more freely! #outfittips1

Joe: "Helllpppp!" | Elle: "What a huge fish, let me take a selfie first." | Jess: "Our brother is being chased by a sea monster. Tweet sent."

*prayed that Joe was okay*

↑ Joe's fate after falling from a bamboo tree and getting eaten by a sea monster.

Our punishment for not helping out Joe. x'D
We don't recommend wearing heels, unless you have no problem posing crazily in them. #outfittips2

"For all the times that you made me feel small." #loveyourselfreference

There are some artworks where you can pose prettily too! So, don't forget to put on a decent outfit! :) #outfittips3

Another important thing to create the optical illusion is the ANGLE. But fret not, there's an instruction on the floor that tells you where you should snap the picture. #phototips6

Cameras to bring: wide-lens cameras and/or cellphone cameras. #phototips7

*Reunited at last haha*

We had a lot of fun here, thank you so much, Trick Eye Museum! Such an interesting way to bond with your loved ones :)
