KIDDY LAND - for the human smile (Japan)

First of all, KIDDY LAND is such a great name for a toy store!

Serving happiness since 1946, KIDDY LAND is one of Japan's most popular Toy Stores. They feature an amazing six floors of exciting toys, character goods, stickers and more. Both international and Japan-based products are available to delight the entire family.

Spotted: Robert Downey Jr.
This is Disney "Pop n Step". It means they can all dance together by doing little steps (that's why Woody looks blurry). If you want to watch how they "dance", click here.

From Flat to Fab!

This is actually one of the outfit I wore when I was in Bali last weekminus the cardigan. I put on this comfy cardi from Gowigasa to add some color pop to my neutral outfit. I really just love how vibrant the colors are. :)

For shoes I went with these casual, suede ankle boots from Forever21 which is the same shoes that I wore here. They are also one of my everyday-shoes. So comfortable and the color can match just about anything, love them!

And for accessories, I wore this turban that I bought from a store called "Somewhere" in Seminyak, Bali. What I love the most about turban is it can add so much volume to the crown area of your hair. From flat to fab! ♥

Dang, my hair has gotten so long. I guess it's about time to cut it shorter. The last time I had a hair cut was almost a year ago!
Two women wearing turban(s)! lol

Trench Coat: 2 Ways

#1

As the title said, I am going to show you how to wear a trench coat in two ways. The first way here is more of a feminine-vintagey style, I think? :)

Trench Coat from Japan | GOWIGASA Navy Vintage Dress | GOWIGASA Bag | Pull and Bear Burgundy Hat | Inspired by Luce Flower Crown | Unbranded Shoes | GOWILENS Contact Lenses

#2

Style number two is more casual and playful with all the patterns and colors. I also wore my new favorite black boots from Cozbest, which I think complete the whole look. Thank you, Cozbest!

GOWIGASA Yellow Floral Top | Topshop Polkadot Skirt | GOWIGASA Bag | Cozbest Suede Black Boots

Anyway, today is our mom's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, mom! Although you drive us crazy sometimes, you are still the BEST mom a daughter could ever have. xx

Alright, we've reached the end of the post! I hope this post inspires you in some way :)
If you have an Instagram account, follow me (@elleyamada) if you would like. I'd really appreciate it, thank you

Galaxy Skirt GOWIGASA
Cinderella Shoes June and Julia
Bag Charles & Keith

I know I've posted some previews of this post on my Instagram like a week ago, but due to the major floods that has occurred recently in Jakarta, I was not able to blog because my family and I had to evacuate to our cousin's house that were not affected by it. #excuses

Anyway, I hope all of you are safe and sound now! I heard there will be another flooding, so please be prepared!

2013: Change for the Better

| Outfit: ALL GOWIGASA, except boots from Japan. |

It's not even half of January yet, but I've learned so many valuable lessons... in a not flattering way. Maybe when I said one of my New Year's Resolution was to learn something new everyday, He took it as a challenge.

Life has always had its way of teaching us lessons. In the end, it's up to us whether we choose to learn from them, swallow our ego, and change for the better; or... We can be stuck up, ignorant and worse, blame other people for our unhappiness.
It is always easier to make excuses than to admit your own mistakes and deal with the consequences, right? But as they say, "When people blame others for their mistakes, they learn less and perform worse." I agreed.

You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him or her, but you won't succeed in changing whatever it is about you that is making you unhappy.

So if something goes wrong, try to use your best wisdom and ability to listen to yourself, find out which weaknesses in your personality that are contributing to the problem and then try to overcome them. :)

Btw, don't forget to join our on going Wet n Wild GIVEAWAY here! Thank you

December 28, 2012

It's the most beautiful time of the year.

Although my family and I don't celebrate Christmas per se, I do like to give gifts to my Christian/Catholic friends and cousins, and of course to get in the spirit of it by simply having dinner or watch some movies. Christmas has always been a magical time for me the Christmas lights, the decorations, the songs... I wish I could experience a beautiful white Christmas someday, with the people I love; it would be awesome! :)

December 24 Christmas Eve

I went to Plaza Indonesia to have some late lunch at The Playground before buying movie tickets (The Man with the Iron Fists, not recommended btw). They have fun decorations that resemble kids' playgrounds and what I love the most about them is their Aglio Olio. I always request for it to be extra spicy and extra mushrooms, and they never disappoint me.

I was wearing Princess Mimi Bambi (WMM-305) soft lenses from GOWI LENS

Had a simple dinner at The Ritz-Carlton (Pacific Place) Hotel with Jess, Yansen, and Jess' boyfriend. The food quality and the service are excellent as expected from them. And it's not too crowded, so that's another plus point for me. Anyway, I used to work there as an intern for 3 months hehe...

Btw New Years Eve is around the corner! Do you already have plans? Well Jess and I are going to have dinner with our big family at Mandarin Hotel, but we still haven't decided yet what are we going to do after that (for the countdown), whether partying with friends or playing fireworks with family or maybe just watching some dvds peacefully. Either way, we will surely express our gratitude to God because 2012 has been an amazing year for us! See you next year! :D
